For me, the Gulshan-Banani Sarbajanin Puja Foundation has always been more than an organisation. It is a living community, one that gathers in devotion during the days of Durga Puja and stays connected in service through the rest of the year. To serve as its General Secretary is a responsibility I hold with sincerity and pride.
Each year, our celebration brings together people from every walk of life. The prayers, the dhak, the lights, and the shared meals remind us of something simple and powerful: that we belong to one another. My aim is to keep that sense of belonging alive not only during the festival, but in the many ways this foundation touches lives throughout the year, through winter clothing for those who feel the cold most keenly, relief for families hit by disaster, care for those affected by violence, and scholarships that open doors for deserving students.
I see communication and openness as central to my role. I want every member and well-wisher to feel informed, included, and heard, to know how our work is progressing and how they can be part of it. A foundation is only as strong as the participation of its people, and I warmly encourage you to lend your time, your ideas, or your support in whatever way you can.
